Ik fietste door Jordanie over de Kings Highway van Mount Nebo naar Aqaba en vervolgens door de Sinai naar Dahab en Jebel Musa. De Kings Highway is de oudste handelsweg in Jordanie en ook vele koningen hebben deze benut. De weg is gebruikt door de karavanen van de Nabateers, door Alexander de Grote, Romeinse legioenen, Byzantijner en Osmanen. In de Bijbel wordt de weg al genoemd en verbond in die tijd de 3 koninkrijken Edom, Moab en Ammon die de Israelieten op hun tocht naar het beloofde land doorkruisten. Ik reis stukken van Exodus maar in omgekeerde richting :-)

Description	:	I biked through Jordan following the Kings Highway from Mount Nebo to Aqaba and next through the Sinai to Dahab and Jebel Musa. The Kings Highway is the oldest route of commerce in Jordan and many kings traveled this road. The road has been used by the caravans of the Nubatean, by Alexander the Great, Roman legions, Byzantine and Osmans. Already the bible mentioned the road and it connected the kingdoms of Edom, Moab and Ammon which the Israelites had to cross on their voyage to the promised land. I travel parts of Exodus but in the opposite direction :-)
